Custom Formalities

After arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. At entry point, all your baggage must be cleared and verified through the customs. But personal stuffs are allowed free entry. For the travelers arriving at airport in Kathmandu, without any dutiable belongings are permitted to proceed through the green channel for fast clearance without having passengers belongings checked. If travelers bringing dutiable properties with them have to permit through the red channel for all detailed customs clearance.

Export

No one can export any antiques without taking special permitted and corticated from the department of archeology, which is located in the National Archive Building, Ram Shah Path Kathmandu. If export stuffs over hundred years old such as sacred image, painting, manuscripts that are valuable for cultural and spiritual reasons will be illegal.
